BRITISH GAS NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013 QUALIFIERS
Congratulations to Anya Sordy, Carissa Armijo, Joel O’ Halleron and Luke Bradley who all qualified for the National Swimming Championships this year, competing against the best swimmers in the country.
* Well done to Anya who qualified for the 200m Butterfly and 400m IM in the girls 13 yr age group.
* Well done to Carissa who qualified for the 100m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly, 200m Butterfly, 200m IM and 400m IM in the girls 13 yr age group. Carissa swam a personal best time in five of her seven swims. Carissa also reached the final in the 200m Freestyle, finishing in 4th place. Some fantastic swims by Carissa.
* Well done to Joel who qualified for the 100m Breaststroke, 200m Breaststroke and 400m IM in the youth 17-18 yr age group. Joel reached the semi final in the 200m Breaststroke, swimming a personal best time. This time then secured him a place in the final, in which he swam another personal best time, finishing 8th overall. An excellent result for Joel.
* Well done to Luke who qualified for the 100m Backstroke and 200m Butterfly in the youth 17-18 yr age group. Luke swam a personal best time in the 100m Backstroke.
Well done swimmers. A great achievement by you all.
