Ken Smith leaves the Club
It’s with great sadness that we announce the departure of our Head Coach – Ken Smith.
Ken has been with the Club for over 6 years and during this time has overseen a remarkable turnaround in performances and achievements of both individual swimmers and the Club as a whole.
Under his guidance, the number of qualifying swimmers at both N&D and NER Championships has steadily risen year on year.
Similarly in his final year, we saw four of our A Squad swimmers qualify for the British National Championships (July/August 2012) – our highest in recent times.
We are extremely grateful for Ken’s hard work, dedication and commitment to the Club during his appointment and recognise his significant contribution in helping the Club move forward.
We wish Ken success for his future endeavours and hope to see him poolside again in the very near future.
