Success for Macauley Ainslie at the Scottish Open Championships
On another note of success, well done to Macauley Ainslie for his amazing gold medal victory in the 200m Freestyle at the Scottish Open Championships today at Tolcross – well done, Mac and his support team, including our Head Coach, Ken Nesworthy.
Macauley’s success along with the success of our Diddy Team can only help in the pursuit of our long term sustainability.
Discussions with the Council are ongoing and looking fairly positive. They certainly now understand what a successful, dynamic and energetic competitive swimming club can give to the Borough of Gateshead and we are now working together looking for that solution which is mutually beneficial and financially viable for both of us. I will reinforce this with them on the back our terrific results today.
