Cancer Charity Swimathon with Chris Cook – 1st Nov 2015

Well done to everyone who was involved and participated in the FACT Cancer Charity Swimathon held at Gateshead Leisure Centre on Sunday 1st Nov 2015.  It was a great effort by all of our swimmers who took part – everyone of them were absolute stars.  Below are a few photos from the event and you might recognise a few faces – oh yes and Chris Cook was there as well 😉

I am writing to thank your team members and colleagues for attending our Swimathon, held at Gateshead Leisure Centre on 1st November.

All of the children were extremely well behaved and very enthusiastic about participating in the whole event and they helped us swim over 6,000 lengths in total. I hope they enjoyed the day and I look forward to welcoming your squads again in the near future. Chris Cook mentioned he spotted a few Olympic potentials for sure!

I would be grateful if you could pass my thanks to all those involved. A special thank you to Liann Brown who I know was instructive in ensuring you were well represented at the event.
