Well done Max Murray from C+ Squad – Winner of Triathlon England’s 2015 North East Region Junior Grand Prix

Triathlon England have just announced the winners of the 2015 North East Region Junior Grand Prix and our every own Max Murray (C+ Squad) has won the Tristart (8yr old) age group having won all of the events in the series which consisted of triathlon, aquathlon and duathlon races all over the North East from Haltwhistle to Middlesbrough.

Next year will present a real challenge for Max as he will move into the Tristart age group for 9 and 10 yr olds but this year he’s really proud of his achievement, he entered all of the races for GAW putting the club well and truly on the triathlon map.

His dad (Phil) is a coach for Ryton Tri and they have seen a growing interest from GAW members with 4 GAW swimmers at last weekend’s kids session.  Anyone interested in having a go should speak to Max (or his dad) to find out what’s involved.
