NEWS Graeme Bradley stepping down from coaching

Some of you will have already seen with his announcement on Facebook that our Age Group Potential Squad Coach Graeme Bradley is stepping down from coaching at our club. I know Graeme is gutted about this and is only stepping down from coaching due to other work commitments.

Graeme’s been a fundamental part of Gateshead and Whickham’s team for many years and was a major force in helping to keep the club going when it could quite easily have folded in the mid-2000s. So, I’ll be sorry to see Graeme hang up his stopwatches, whistle and pool shoes and we’ll all miss his dulcet tones on the poolside at training sessions.

Hopefully we’ll still see Graeme around the club, still helping us in other ways and entertaining us at our galas.

This will be Graeme’s last week coaching our Age Group Potential squad. In the short term, Ken will be putting a plan in place to cover the squad using coaches from our other squads. We hope to announce a full time replacement for Graeme as soon as possible.

From Gateshead and Whickham ASC, thanks Graeme and Good Luck!
