Where’s it at? Dunston Leisure Centre, Dunston Bank, Gateshead, NE11 9PY

Who’s it for? This event is ONLY for swimmers who meet the Qualifying Times provided in the conditions

See your coach for estimated times if your swimmer DOES NOT have a time for any of the events.

What’s the cost? All swims are £5.50 per event.
When’s the closing date? Closing date for G&W swimmers was 9:00pm, Friday 31st May 2019.

All other clubs / swimmers is 9:00pm, Monday 10th June.

GAW Summer Meet 2019 – Conditions


Warm-Up / Start Times

  • Friday pm: Open warm-up 5:00 – 5:40 for a 5:45 start
  • Sat/Sun am: Warm-up 8:00 for a 9:00 start
  • Sat/Sun pm: Warm-up 1:00 for a 2:00 start

Space will be limited on poolside, can you please ask all swimmers to use the lockers provided as bags will not be permitted on poolside.


NESS Swimwear will be providing their usual excellent service for all your swimming needs at St Nicholas of Christ Church just a few minutes walk from the pool.

Please Note
  • Entries will only be accepted with times in line with the qualifying times attached so please ensure that entry times are checked before entering.
  • Any swimmer that DOES NOT have a time for any event, must get an estimated time from their coach.
  • Ages are as at 14th July 2019
  • Swimmers must be, or have applied for registration with the A.S.A. and may only enter events in their own age group.
  • It is the responsibility of the swimmer/parent to notify the coach/poolside helper of any issues in advance of the sessions. This includes withdrawals and requests to attend after the official warm-up per session.
