9/Over: 50m and 200m form strokes; 100m IM & 200IM
10/Over: 100m form strokes; 100IM & 200IM
400m events are open to swimmers aged 11 and over only and will be restricted to 4 heats only for girls/boys. (fastest times used in this event)

Swimmers must be, or have applied for registration with the A.S.A. and may only enter events in their own age group.

The Swim Time Converter – provided by http://www.pullbuoy.co.uk/ is a useful tool and can be used to convert swimmers’ PB times from long course to short course and vice versa.

NEW Swim England (ASA) Renewals 2018

It’s time to renew Swim England (ASA) memberships.

Membership provides insurance and support for members as they train and compete for their swimming club.

There are two categories, most GAW swimmers are in Category 2, which is for anyone who may compete at a gala in the coming year.  Learners fall under Category 1. Please check with your rep if you are uncertain.

Renewal is done via the GAWbook website.

KIT RETURNS Faulty Kit – bulk return

Emrys is organising a bulk return of faulty kit back to the supplier:

  • Hoodies with faulty eyelets – worn or unworn
  • Unworn kit with clicks
  • NOTE: worn kit with clicks cannot be accepted
  • If in any doubt email emrys.pritchard@gawswim.org.uk with a photo
  • Garments need to be clearly labelled with the name of the person who made the initial order and what the fault is
  • To be returned directly to Emrys by 15th January 2018
  • After this date, items will need to be returned by the individual

KIT ORDER December 2017 Kit order update

The PDF below has details of all kit received in the first shipment
Items in YELLOW, RED, GREEN and BLUE have been received
Items that are in WHITE, or missing from this list are still to be fulfilled by EV2.

Remaining items that were not collected from Emrys before Christmas have been passed to reps for distribution.
Polo and t-shirts are expected to be shipped to Emrys w/e 12th January

Apart from next shipment of polos/Ts, Ev2 are investigating the other outstanding items – please check to see if your order is on here. outstanding kit from first order 050118 If not, you need to get in touch with EV2 with your order confirmation details.

Any issues with faults, such as detaching eyelets, clicks on garments (before use) stitching quality etc. should be taken up directly with EV2. If you can cc in emrys.pritchard@gawswim.org.uk so that he can monitor the quantity/type of issues.

NEW Facebook Group

Recently, a lot of parents have been asking if we have a Facebook page, and until now we haven’t.

The GAW team have been working together on creating the best social space for our club and we would love you to come and join us on there!

The page has been set up so that we can share our success stories with ease, communicate quickly and effectively with each other and be as easy to contact as we can be.
