GNR 2017 GAW Chairman running GNR for Crohn’s and Colitis UK

I’m doing it again. That half marathon thing from Newcastle to South Shields called the Great North Run. I’ve done quite a few of these Great North Runs, so you’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now :o) However, I was asked to get involved with Crohn’s and Colitis UK by a few of my friends who’ve benefitted from the charity. They wanted to give the charity something back for all the help they’d received and were doing the Great North Run to raise some money, so I said I’d join them.

So, here I am again with just over two months to go to get fit to run 13.1 miles.

As part of my sponsorship efforts I’ve created a fundraising page at ‘Just Giving’. You can visit it by clicking below ….

https://www.justgiving.com/MartinConnelly212 …. Where you can see me modelling my Crohn’s and Colitis UK vest.

If you want to help support me and cheer me on, you can make a quick donation while visiting my page and leave a witty message.

JustGiving sends your donation straight to Crohn’s and Colitis UK and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.

Thank you for your anticipated support.

Oh and please feel free to circulate this email to others and share on your Facebook accounts :o)

Regards

Martin

PRINCESS TRUST Maia Stovold from Potential Age Group has just had her hair cut off to raise money for The Princess Trust.

Maia announced two years ago that she wanted to grow her hair and cut it off at the end of primary school to give to charity. She will be donating 7 inches of her hair to The Princess Trust, a charity which makes free wigs for children who loose their hair due to an illness or treatment. Any money Maia makes from sponsors will also be given to the charity to help fund the making of the wigs.

On Friday the 24th June, Maia bravely had a huge 7 inches chopped off her beautiful, long, blonde hair. So far she has raised a staggering £650, which will be given to a fantastic cause.

If you wish to make a donation, here’s the link to her Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/zoe-stovold
