CANCELLED City of Derby Easter National Qualifier 2018

Event Cancelled

It is with considerable regret that we have cancelled our Level 1 Meet scheduled for the Easter weekend of 31st March and 1st April 2018 at Ponds Forge. Unfortunately on this occasion the meet has not attracted enough support (swimmers, Officials, etc.) to enable us to run the gala.

On behalf of the club, please accept my sincere apologies and I’m sure you will appreciate that this was not a decision that was taken lightly.  Please rest assured that all entry fees received will be reimbursed in full and we will start this process as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Steve Layton

NEW Junior “Diddy” League Fixtures

In the “Diddy League” we compete in Division 1 against other clubs in our area in a series of 3 galas. After those galas, the six clubs that have accumulated the most points go through to the Division 1 final. The top team in the Division 1 final goes on to represent our area in the Regional final.

The galas are competitive, but are full of fun and loud infectious cheering. They provide an ideal opportunity for younger and less experienced swimmers of our club to compete in a race environment. Duration is around 2 hours.

The galas comprise individual events of 25m for 9 year olds and 50m for 10 to 12 year olds. All teams are 25m with the exception of 12yrs. Swimmers ages are: 9yrs age at 25/11/2018, 10 to 12yrs age at 31/12/2018.

This year we compete at the following venues on the following dates:

The final is on Sunday 16th September, venue to be confirmed.  A separate note will be sent out to those swimmers selected to compete in the final.
